“Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. Ephesians 6:15-16 MSG What are your essentials for life? Shelter? Food? Water? Clothes? Yes, those are needed tangibles but what about the intangibles you need? The things you can’t see […]
Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death is the man who deceives his neighbor and says, “I am only joking.” Proverbs 26:18-19 Words matter. Every word that comes out of your mouth matters. After all, you had to first think it before you said it. So don’t deceive yourself by saying, “I’m only […]
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into […]
“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.”Colossians 2:6 NLT It’s not a “one-and-done” kind of salvation. Yes, that’s how it starts, by accepting that Jesus alone is “the way, the truth and the life”(John 14:6). He alone made it possible, through His death and resurrection, […]
“Who stood up for me against the wicked? Who took my side against evil workers? If God hadn’t been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me […]
“Don’t love the world’s ways. Don’t love the world’s goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. The world and all […]
“A good leader motivates, doesn’t mislead, doesn’t exploit. GOD cares about honesty in the workplace; your business is his business. Good leaders abhor wrongdoing of all kinds; sound leadership has a moral foundation. Good leaders cultivate honest speech; they love advisors who tell them the truth. Good-tempered leaders invigorate lives; they’re like spring rain and sunshine.”Proverbs […]
“Yes! God is good! His love never quits!”2 Chronicles 7:3 MSG Do you believe that? Do you walk everyday, absolutely assured, that “God is good, His love never quits?” Can you shout a loud, “yes”, to others around you, without wavering? If you struggle with this, I suggest you get to know Him more. […]
“Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.”Jude 1:22, 23 MSG Notice how we are exhorted to: “Go easy” “Go after” “Be tender”…with people. Those who are reluctant or having […]
“Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to […]
